I’ve received this card to START it – which is an exciting task – I’m a social worker by trade so I’m in the general do-gooder business as it is … this however, will encourage me to step it up at notch. Now, I’ll count on my intuition to guide me to the right moment and then record on the site what great opportunity was afforded me! Wish me luck! Lori

My neighbor called and told me he had ran out of gas while driving home from work. I grabbed a gas can,

stopped by the gas station and filled it up, then started driving to where he was, near the Sky Harbor airport.

On my way I noticed a lady pulled over in the middle median with a flat tire. So, after delivering the gas to my neighbor I went back to see if I could help her. She was gone but I did pass another car with a flat. So I turned around and went back to find that lady. She was still sitting there and had no way to contact her husband for help. I was able to lend her a hand a pass my PIFcard. Hopefully her story will show up on this site soon

I had a PIF opportunity in San Diego April 22, 2012. At 5:30 am while returning to my hotel after dropping a friend at a train station…
… a young man came running up to my car asking if I knew where the train station was. He was a little panicked that he wouldn’t make his train and he did still have several long blocks to walk – so I gave him a ride
There was no time to explain or pass out a card but it was great to be able to help him!
